HireHispanic Challenge Q&A

Is there discrimination in hiring Latino professionals?

I feel that we are discriminated nowdays more than ever, however in a implicit manner. It is difficult for individuals, groups and institutions to openly act on those prejudices because of civil rights laws that are in place to protect everyone. On the other hand, because of unemployment increases and unstable economy some groups and institutions are beginning to develop biased non-hiring strategies toward Latinos. Some of these are the commonly used term of "profiling" those spanish names on resumes, and interview results.
Some of us work long hours for honest meager wages, and others earn an education to better themselves and families and do not deserve such treatment.
