RESPONSBILITIES:
- Help coordinate the day-to-day operational components of a major state testing program.
- Develop an understanding of the informational and materials flow of the testing program and the software system built to support that flow.
- Help clients use customized software, test and trouble-shoot software, enter data and create data files, combine data from different spreadsheets using Excel lookup functions, and help write specifications for software.
- Summarize and present information to the project team.

Job Requirements

Candidates should have a BA/BS and good verbal and written communication skills. Some post-college experience is a plus, but is not required. Candidates for this position should be able to organize their own work across a variety of different tasks and prioritize when under pressure so that they consistently meet deadlines. They should enjoy "trouble-shooting" problems. They must also have excellent Excel skills and enough experience with computers to be able to quickly learn custom computer applications. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This job will involve some interaction with the public, so the research assistant needs to have good "people skills" and enjoy helping people who may be having problems using software or with other aspects of the testing process.
