Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior General Accountant will perform General Accounting and Ledger activities for assigned areas/accounts and ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and Equifax policy. Perform research, review transactions, and prepare journal entries, accruals, and analyses as required. Perform monthly account reconciliations and analyses as prescribed by established deadlines and procedures. Prepare balance sheet and P&L statements as required for assigned areas. Evaluate processes and controls for effective operation and recommend and implement improvements and documentation. The Senior General Accountant will assist in completion of audit deliverables and other reviews as required, perform ad hoc projects and analyses as required, and lead special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
7 years progressive experience in General Accounting, analyses, and reporting.
Bachelors degree; preferably in Accounting.
Proficiency with MS Excel.
Oracle General Ledger experience.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written at all levels within an organization.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to devise creative solutions to difficult problems, while working effectively in a team environment.
