Care Mgmt Nurse Supervisor

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leader is responsible for management of Care Manager staff including organization and development of high performing teams
-Ensures consistency in care management interventions across membership
-Facilitates effective interface among team members
-Accountable for meeting the operational and quality objectives of the team with a focus on enrollment and follow-up assessment targets
-Promotes teamwork and the Aetna values among all teams and across all departments
- Performs all functions as Clinical Team Leader according to AHM policies
- Allocates staff daily workload assignments/monitors caseloads
- Monitors/evaluates individual and team productivity
- Assists with training for new and existing staff
- Participates in Quality Improvement program, including auditing daily work for new employees for first 90 days and monthly for existing staff
- Interviews new clinical staff candidates, makes hiring recommendations
- Supports account management with new and existing client initiatives.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must have at least one of the following:
-- BSN or higher and a minimum of 2 years managed care experience
-- Diploma from an accredited nursing program and experience commensurate with a degree, participation in continuing education and a minimum of 2 years managed care experience
-- Associate Degree in Nursing, participation in continuing education and minimum of 2 years managed care experience

- Previous supervisor experience preferred
