Customer Business Manager

Job Description

Position Summary
The primary purpose of the Customer Business Manager position is to develop sustained business relationships with/ and to drive profitable sales volume through the customer.

Position Responsibilities
• Be the primary liaison on all category business issues.
• Manage the relationship with the category director and interface with the customer contacts
• Coordinate Annual Planning efforts
• Drive trade investment effectiveness and efficiency
• Develop corporate marketing and merchandising programs
• Champion, and drive, strategic initiatives for Unilever
• Coordinate, and manage, Category Management initiatives.
• Coordinate, with the retail team, plan-o-grams and retail initiatives

Challenges
• The need to routinely interface with multiple internal departments/personnel, plus senior level and customer personnel, will create complexity and time management challenges
• The need to work effectively as part of a customer Team, while maintaining a positive Connection and relationship with other direct teams as well as local Region management
• The need to balance individual customer needs, while ensuring total Market integrity
• The need to drive Strategic Relationships and accelerated growth, while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters, and driving trade investment effectiveness and efficiency

Job Requirements

Skills & Competencies
Knowledge
Education College education required.

Experience Proven Business Manager experience with a key customer is a must. Trade Marketing and Category Management experience a plus

Competencies & Abilities
Problem Solving Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact based solutions/recommendations.

Communications Must be skilled in verbal and written communications. Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally

Leadership Should possess strong leadership qualities.

Team Commitment Should be able to work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner.
