About NSHMBA Boston Chapter
NSHMBA was created in 1988 to “foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development in order to improve society.”
Currently, NSHMBA has 7,000 members, close to 300 corporate partners and several academic partners nationwide. At the local level, the Boston Chapter became fully accredited in 2000, joining a network of 29 chapters that operate throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Our local membership is close to 230 and growing.
The goals of the Boston Chapter for 2007 are:
* to increase the enrollment of Hispanics in graduate management programs; We currently have agreements with three schools to provide yearly scholarships to our members.
* to become a strategic channel for corporations looking to recruit qualified Hispanic business professionals.
* to organize and participate in networking and community events to provide Hispanic professionals with opportunities for career growth, leadership development and entrepreneurship.
