This letter is to cordially invite you to participate in our upcoming International Week festivities, scheduled for June 16 through Thursday, June 19 and Sunday, June 22 (no activities on Friday and Saturday, 6/20 and 6/21). This event is being sponsored by Divine Faith Ministries International (DFMI), a non-denominational, multi-cultural church, under the leadership of Pastors Donald & Gwen Battle. DFMI is one church, with locations in Jonesboro and Duluth, Georgia. Our theme for this event is “The Gathering of Nations.”

The purpose of International Week is to create greater awareness and appreciation for the various cultures and nationalities that exist in our community, as well as to give us an opportunity to interact with each other. The celebrations will include various speakers, musical and dance performances, food (and non-alcoholic beverages), costumes, exhibits and much more. The featured highlight of this year’s event will focus on diversity in Caribbean culture, Indian, African, Asian and Hispanic cultures. We have designated the following days:
Monday 6/16 Asian
Tuesday 6/17 Hispanic/Latin
Wednesday 6/18 African
Thursday 6/19 Caribbean
Sunday 6/22 Indian

The businesses involved will be those that have a product or service relating to culture in the above-referenced nationalities. If you have a product/service and would like to participate, please contact Novella Robinson at 770-814-9992, Ext. 240 for further information on vendor requirements. Please note that this is a great opportunity for you to showcase and promote your business by exhibiting the different types of products and services available to our community.

Admission to this event is free, open to the public and is suitable for the whole family. We truly hope that you will consider participating in this cultural celebration.

Sincerely,
DFMI International Week Planning Committee
